Bitmap Image to Vector; convert your pixel art to vector online
Pixel art is generally made in programs like MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop, Pixen, Gimp etc..
The result is a bitmap image.
If you want to use your pixel art as vector graphic you need to convert your bitmap image into a vector graphic.
This process is referred to with several names, such as trace bitmap, raster to vector, pixel to illustrator, bitmap to vector, etc..
The html5 application on this page converts your bitmap image online into a Scalable Vector Graphics file, or short .SVG vector file. The result is a 'pixel perfect' vector graphic file which can be used in Adobe Illustrator or any other vector graphics editing program which support the open Scalable Vector Graphics fileformat. Most browsers support .SVG as well.
Usage
The usage is simple; select a bitmap image on your local computer, wait a few moments until the conversion is completed. Once the conversion is complete, click the 'Save file' button, which will appear on the right side, to save the Scalable Vector Graphics file. Depending on the complexity of the image, it may take a few moments before the image can be saved.
Note; unfortunatly some browsers may not support the techniques used to convert your bitmap to vector graphics. Recent version of Google Chrome and Firefox support these features.
